Why the Name Hillhurst Mortgage, Inc.?
We often get confused with "Hillcrest" or "Hillview", or a number of other iterations of the HILL name used in all sorts of cities across the U.S., but we are the one and only Hillhurst Mortgage, Inc. with our original founding office located prominently on the infamous Hillhurst Avenue in the popular and trendy area of Los Feliz in North East Los Angeles (NELA).
Hillhurst Mortgage was founded after the turmoil's of the Great Recession of 2007-2008, yet has roots and values that date back to the early 1990s.
As a boutique agency with offices in Los Feliz and Simi Valley, Hillhurst Mortgage caters to the home loan needs throughout Los Angeles County, Ventura County, and the entire state of California.
A mutual friend introduced the pair thinking they had a lot in common and could benefit each other by a friendly meeting. After speaking on the phone for the first time, they decided to meet for coffee early one morning. When discussing where to meet, Brad suggested meeting "half-way". Doug agreed and named a Starbucks Coffee on Ventura Blvd in Tarzana, CA. Brad was coming from Simi Valley, and saw that Doug's office was in North East Los Angeles, so he agreed that it seemed half-way was fair. After a great connection that morning, they began to grow a strong bond and relationship that led to where they are today, partners in business. It was a month or so after that first meet, that Brad discovered in casual conversation, Doug actually lived 5 minutes up the street from that Starbucks location! So much for meeting half-way :)
